Family Home, Williamsburg, VA
During 2022, Q&Co worked with an older couple on several upgrades to their retirement home. We worked with a local carpenter to design and construct a new oak fireplace, a wood feature wall above the fireplace, and a corresponding wood feature in the recessed tray ceiling above their kitchen table.
Two new marble bathroom vanities were installed using the same marble slab as was used for the fireplace surround. And several new paint colours within bathrooms have breathed new life into this home.
Here is what our client had to say:
“Courtney did an excellent job determining the correct chevron angle of 51 degrees using a CAD program for the recessed area above the table, minimising the amount of wood needed. The carpenter who Q&Co enlisted for the project also did an excellent job constructing this and the new oak fireplace, as well as the feature on the fireplace wall.
Q&Co connected us with a local stone supplier where we found the perfect marble for the new fireplace. We minimised wastage again by going with their proposal to use the same marble slab for two new vanities in two bathrooms. The paint colours which were specified were also perfect for those rooms.
They were very professional and very helpful in modernising our living room, bathrooms, and kitchen ceiling. We are happy with the results and already have started working with Q&Co on a kitchen remodel.”
